Who We Are
At Battery Shed of the Carolinas, we focus on processing spent and used lead-acid batteries for repurposing and recycling. Our goal is to maximize financial return, allowing us to offer the most competitive pricing in the industry. Our facilities operate under strict environmental standards to ensure safety. Through our extensive network of American and international scrap buyers, as well as domestic junk yards, we are able to achieve this. We begin by separating the batteries into two categories: those that meet our stringent standards for reconditioning and those destined for the smelters.
The candidates for reconditioning are then subjected to our confidential, state-of-the-art reconditioning and charging process. Batteries that do not meet our reconditioning standards are packaged in compliance with PHMSA (Department of Transportation), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and International Maritime Organization regulations. Ultimately, these batteries are shipped to the designated smelter that offers the best price, while ensuring proper disposal of these used batteries.
